Life insurance is a contract between you and a life insurance company. You agree to pay for the policy either on a monthly or annual basis, and the insurer agrees to pay a sum of money to your beneficiaries nominated on the policy if you die

There is no amount of money that could ever replace losing a loved one but having a life insurance policy will bring you and your family peace of mind that they will be financially taken care of when you are gone.

Having a life insurance policy ensures that your family are also somewhat financially protected and are able to cover any financial obligations following your death. A life policy will also help to maintain your family’s existing living standards and provide your kids with an education.

Typically, there are 2 types of life insurance options Available:

  1.  Whole of life Insurancs
  2.  Term life insurance

WHILE OF LIFE INSURANCE:

Whole of life insurance covers you until the day you die. With whole of life insurance your death is inevitable and there is 100% chance that the policy will pay out to the beneficiaries listed on the policy at some point. As a result of this premiums in respect of whole of life insurance tends to be slightly more expensive.

TERM LIFE INSURANCE:

Term life insurance is a policy that covers you for a pre-determined length of time such as ten or twenty years. As there is some uncertainty as to whether one would claim against the policy, premiums in respect of a term life insurance policy tend to be more cost effective.
